2012
The theme for Library Week 2012 was "Develop @ your Library". There was an exhibition in the Library, a book launch and a motivational speaker. There was also a crossword puzzle competition and students were asked to join the facebook page of the library, where three members of the page were chosen for prizes. We also had very creative students who painted canvasses, and can be seen in the library.

2011
The theme for 2011 for Library Week was "Reading in your own language @ your library." Two competitions were held and prizes included dictionaries, stationary packs and memory sticks.
2010
The theme for 2010 for Library Week was "Reading Changes Lives". The launch was held at our Library this year.

2009
The theme for our library week in 2009 was, "Access for all @ your Library". Mr. Marius Dieperink gave a speech on, "How to do postgraduate studies". Two students who attended the event won a voucher from the Van Schaick Bookstore. A competition was also held by the ERC. Students had to paint a technology landscape in front of the ERC. The winner won unlimited time in the ERC for the remainder of 2009. Three other winners were picked that each won CD-R and a memory stick. A free eye screening was also done by Torga Optical. 50 free eye tests were given to students. An exhibition was also held with subject related journals. Questions were asked about the exhibition and chocolate prizes were given.

2008
The theme for our library week in 2008 was, "From Local to Global @ your Library". Our campus director Dr Pudi gave an inspirational speech to our students and a competion was held by the ERC, where students had to write an essay to explain what value the ERC has for a student of the Emalahleni campus.
